My favorite part of the day is sitting down with Matt after all the kids are asleep and watching TV together.

Hank tried jumping today. He even managed to get his feet off the ground a couple times. Here's a video of the kids trying to get him to jump later.

Today is a little video treat. Jane has been really good about playing with Hank. It's so sweet of her.

Jack wins for being the most enthusiastic about Pete. I love it. It's a side of Jack I haven't really paid attention to before. It's sensitive and loving and a very big brother way to act. As soon as he gets home from school he wants to see Pete. He's always asking to kiss him and he likes to hold Pete for a LONG time. I'm always so surprised he doesn't get bored. Today Jack talked to Pete about how Pete's the little brother and Jack is the big brother. I hope it's the beginning of a relationship that will be meaningful for their whole lives.

Hank will find any tiny cup and ask us to put water in it. "Wah?" These yellow toy cups aren't too bad but one time he used a playmobil cup smaller than the tip of my pinkie.

Jack thinks Pete is so cute. He said, "Pete is the cutest! He's cuter than everybody. He's cuter than me!" He was so excited to feed him a bottle today. While holding his bottle he kept bending down and kissing him. And when Jack saw his lip callous that breast feeding babies get, he said, "It looks like a tooth!"

Poor Jane got a big gash in her head at the Sabins tonight. She was playing a game with Max and Leah and bashed her forehead into a rock hold on Max and George's wall. She ran down the stairs screaming, "Help me! There's so much blood coming from my head!" There really was so much blood. It was running down her face, got all over her clothes, and all over Matt, who had gotten to her first. I felt so sorry for her. She was so worried about needing to go to the hospital. She kept asking if she needed to go. She also declared it the worst day of her life and said she wished she were dreaming. She did, in fact, need to go to the hospital. Matt took her and said she was a champ--never cried. Steve went with them and sent me these pics as updates on how she was doing.
After getting a numbing cotton ball placed on the wound.
Waiting to see the doctor.
Talking to the doctor before the stitches.
All done.
She ended up with seven stitches. When she came home she was excited to report that it didn't hurt at all. But after seeing the stitches she got very worried about going to school the next day. "What if the band-aid falls off and everyone sees it?"

Hank has been loving on his baby doll today. So I asked if he wanted to hold the real baby. Pete wasn't thrilled though.
